I'm Megan, a classically trained Mezzo-Soprano holding a First Class Honours Degree in Music. With a wealth of experience, I've completed all my singing grades, earning a distinction in my Senior Certificate. For over a decade, I've lent my voice to weddings, funerals, and various events, whether as part of a choir, an acoustic duo, or a soloist.
My musical journey spans diverse areas, from captivating performances and music education to stage productions. I accompany my vocals by playing the piano and, on occasion, the guitar, ensuring a dynamic range across various genres.
Based in South Kilkenny/Waterford, I'm more than willing to bring my music to you, wherever your event may be. Let's create a harmonious experience tailored to your unique moments.
FAQs
How do I start to pick music?
I am more than happy to have a video call consultation to chat about song choices, if you would like one (via WhatsApp or Google Meet), or we can discuss your music over the phone or via email. Please feel free to also peruse my website where you will find song suggestions for each section of your ceremony, my full repertoire list and the links to my SoundCloud and Social Medias where you can listen to some of the pieces I offer.
When should we finalise our song choices?
The final song choice should be finalised at least 8 weeks in advance, in case there are any new pieces to learn.
How do we book?
For booking enquiries, availability or to discuss song selections, please email the address in the footer below or fill out the contact form in the ‘Contact’ section of the website. Please note that a booking fee will be necessary to secure your date.
What instruments do you play?
Singing is my main instrument. I also play the piano and guitar to accompany myself singing.
Have you played at different types of wedding ceremonies before?
I have played/sung at various types of ceremonies, including church ceremonies, civil, humanist and spiritual ceremonies.
Does our church need a sound system?
Not at all, I bring all my own equipment with me to each event. The only thing I require is access to a power socket.
Are you available on weekdays?
Yes, I am available on weekdays and weekends.
Where are you based? Do you travel?
I am based in South Kilkenny/Waterford City. I am more than happy to travel upon request, but please note that a travel fee will be included if travelling further than 30km from Waterford City.
Are there any booking fees?
Yes, a non-refundable booking fee of €50 is necessary to hold your date. There is a 30-day “cooling off” period should you decide to cancel your booking.
When do we pay the remaining balance?
You can pay the remaining balance on the day, or if you would like to pay via Bank Transfer then the remaining balance is due 1 week before the ceremony/reception.
What packages do you offer?
Ceremony music only
Drinks Reception music only
Ceremony AND Drinks Reception music (which includes a discount).
I can be booked as a singer/musician to sing and accompany myself, or I can be booked as a solo singer, to sing with other musicians, if you have something different in mind (eg. You would like to have a singer with a string quartet etc).
Can you accommodate our requests?
I will always do my absolute best to accommodate all requests for your special day, however, if there is something that I cannot offer myself, I would be more than happy to play an mp3 version through my system.
Does the price change depending on the type/length of ceremony?
No, the price for ceremony music does not change regardless of the type of ceremony (i.e. church ceremony, civil, humanist etc) or the length, or the amount of songs required. This means you don’t have to worry about an extra fee if you change the amount of songs you are including in your ceremony.
